Subsetting Input Data for Array Studio Functions
For example, if the user only wants to perform a specified analysis on a particular group of chips or probe sets, they can do this by specifying a variable list, or an observation list. This list can then be used in most module windows, by selecting Customized variables/observations/regions:
Subsetting by customized variables and variables during analysis allows the user to restrict analysis to high-importance variables, observations that passed QC steps, and more, without making multiple copies of the source data.
Filtering Data in Tables, Omic Data, and Views
Essentially all Array Studio Data Types can be filtered on metadata, which includes adding filters from lists:
